Yesterday I took the X5 into my independent shop because the "Service Engine Soon" indicator illuminated with no signs of any problems at all.
A vacuum line had sprung a leak. They replaced the hose.
A few strange errors appeared in the diagnostics: Instrument Cluster error stating the fuel gauge was reading inaccurate and some other odd thing. None of which seemed to make any real sense or cause any real problems.
Cost to Diagnose errors, reset diagnostics, new hose and installation of said hose?
$20.00! That place is the best!
If I went to the local dealer, I would still be there waiting for them to finish and it would have cost $200.00 at least.
