TahoeM3 is on a distinguished road
Good to know...I was just wondering about this yesterday. Autoblog had a first drive and they indicated they thought the SRT would match the M in performance, but they didn't actually do any instrumented tests or run the cars side by side. I had my doubts, especially given the added weight of the new version. It is at least 400 lbs heavier than the outgoing model, so despite the 50 added HP, the power-to-weight ratio is about the same as the last version and still much worse than the M. Both can be modified, although I doubt too many people will tear into the new engines on the SRT for street use...maybe tuners using it as a marketing car, but most of the ones you will see on the street will be stock or have light mods at best.
