I made the switch after owning my '01 E53 for 9.5 years (was totaled in a wreck- I got hit). The E70 is more refined and as far as looks the E70 with the staggered 20" wheels and extended wheel flares is the way to go---the wheels are absolutely massive giving it a whole different look. If it were the E70 without the 20s I would have rather had my E53.
