I ended up with Space Grey and black interior, was forced to buy off the lot - it's OK...and had choice between black and Oyster (and Oyster does have the black carpets, etc). I flew to get my car in Colorado Springs and was picked up in the airport in a dealer loaner with Oyster and only 3,000 miles on it and it looked pretty but was soiled. I'm wondering (out loud) how much work it'd be to keep Oyster clean. Because of my outdoor activities (snow skiing, boating/water skiing) I was too leery of going with anything light on the interior. But sure does look impressive in person.
Make sure you check out BMW Apps and any phone integration options before hand. I didn't do my homework and paid for it. Also the spare tire if you have intentions of removing the run flats.
Congrats, the x35d is a great car!

I think that it wouldnt be bad to keep clean, if you were to just do a quick wipe everytime you wash, i bet there'd be nothing to it..
also remember who drives those dealer cars.. mechanics, road side assistance, etc. they are always dirty...
i just got my car back from the dealership the other day, had gold brake caliper lubricant all over the seat
