Yes denis it is irritating. And what ive researched the GT1 system for coding bmw's are around 10 grand? So you have to go to the dealership for coding. I can buy the part, $270, try installing myself, then go to the dealership and have them re-code for $130. It will also have to be aligned before coding which my indy will do for pretty cheap and he's good. I have done a lot of maintenance on this car myself. Actualy a lot of it pretty easy. Just don't know if i want to try this. Thats why im looking for an indy shop that can install the sensor. You know bmw could have made this sensor in 2 parts that would keep you from having to remove the steering column to replace. Guess they thought the $400 in labor would work better for them.
