Is turbo inlet air baffled or routed in an odd way? (I wouldn't expect OEM to be inefficient though.) Streamlining the inlet air via hard piping should make for louder compressor volume (and more importantly, spool, but damn if the M isn't already efficient in that dept.) Hearing the turbos sucking in inlet air is fun.... can't say I'm a huge fan of BPV noises, but.... here's a functional (and maybe louder) piece:
