I have a 2004 4.4i with a six-speed and an 8/04 build date. Guess I'll have to crawl under and see whether it has the 5hp24 or the 6hp26 now that I'm confused.

My indie BMW shop quoted $365 to do the trans service being discussed here. I went to the local stealership today, and they said they wouldn't do it at any price because BMW says not to. Very confusing.
