There are several methods on how to Flush Power Steering fluid. Doug Vetter has a nice write up on the Z3 power steering flush. It is the same concept just slightly different parts and locations on the X5.

In the write up he references a "gear oil pump", this is another name for a fluid extractor. If you need one I would suggest our
