Cross-shopped the Cayenne V6 vs the X5, Cayenne came out to be more money after both were similarly equipped. The Porsche had a nicer interior IMO, and the multifunction dash is really nice compared to the BMW. The allocations were pretty poor at my local Porsche dealership, so we had to wait 3 months to get the exact one we wanted. Couple that, with the fact that the V6 uses a VW motor (had bad experiences with VW in the past), and the X5 3.5 is quite a bit faster sealed the deal.
