I had the tailgate adjusted three times with no success at one dealer. After proceeding to the second dealer they fixed it and it has been quite since. No excessive force is necessary - just a tap of the autoclose button. The work order did state that they adjusted it three times on that final visit. with three road tests. Unfortunately, you need to find a dealer with mechanics who are good at what they do AND care. I have found the latter to be difficult to find.
