I searched and haven't been able to find anything about this particular issue with updating a MKIII system. I originally had the black screen with the white bar across the bottom. So I updated it to the V22. It seemed to take the update fine, but at the end when it says the update is complete, it spits the disc out like it should, but it wouldn't let me press OK. The button does work on the head unit (as verified by throwing in a MKII computer and I can make selections using the head unit). If I let the car sit long enough, the "update finished" screen will go away, but the nav system will only show -BMW- and won't do anything. I've attached a picture of what the unit permanently displays. The radio works when it is doing this.



I'm at a loss- I used Memorex CD-R, which seems to work for people. I've tried going back to an old OS version, then coming back to a new one, and it's the same symptoms every time. Even going up to V32, which I've read works for many people doesn't do anything. I can try another brand disc if this is a symptom of that.

Edit: I tried using slysoft clonecd and imgburn. With imgburn I was able to verify that I burned in Mode 2 Form 1. I burned at alternately 1x and 4x with no change in functionality. I still get the same issues after I did this. I realize this problem is similar to other posts, but mine's the only one I can find where it says the load took but I can't press OK.

Any ideas?
