Yes it seems that even a BMW dealers that I have leased other cars from can be a blood sucker. A $3,250 beta (they were going to make a lease payment) from the first offer is a lot. It only because of this and other BMW forums that I was able to get a fair deal. My point for others is that the residual is negotiable; even thought my dealer had at first said that was not the case. You must negotiate it with the dealer BMW finance will not negotiate.
The engine was running a little rough and I had the reduced power light come on a few times (would go off with a restart). They reprogrammed again and changed a sensor. It seems to be running much better this time. This spring they did a reprogram and replace injectors and the engine seem to lose power. The twin turbo 6 has had fuel pump and other issues I hope this is the end of those problems and I would not be surprised to see more. Other than that the car has had very little problems.
I have to that I really like the car it offers more than enough power and gets good mpg (I have averaged 25 to 27mpg).
It is sad that BMW no longer imports wagons. The GT is joke which they should drop and bring back the wagon. I think that BMW would rather sell X3's in the USA.
