BMW has brought its Performance Edition package to the Australian X5 SUV range, adding a number of styling tweaks to a new limited-edition variant.
Priced from $99,900 drive-away, the X5 xDrive30d Performance Edition adds 21-inch Performance Y-spoke alloy wheels, along with front and rear Performance aerodynamic elements, side sills, wheel-arch extensions and a gloss-black treatment for the grille.
Offered in xDrive30d spec only, just 200 examples of the X5 Performance Edition pack will be offered.
Despite the package's name, the big SUV remains unchanged on the performance front, with the xDrive30d variant driven by a turbocharged 3.0 litre six-cylinder diesel engine.
Consuming just 7.4 l/100km - a 1.3 litre improvement over the previous generation - the xDrive30d develops 180kW and hits 100km/h in 7.6 seconds.
