Car accelerates poorly when I first start the car, almost feels like it is going to stall. The problem seems to work itself out as the car warms up. The check engine light is on, I tried disconnecting the mass air flow sensor (MAF) and it runs much better.

I am thinking about replacing the MAF to try and fix this butI am not 100% convinced this will eliminate the problem. Any thoughts?
