Its difficult to answer this question. Depending on who drove it, maintenence, etc.. It is all different. A lot of people think the 6 cyl's are bullet proof, and in a lot of way they are, otherwise BMW would have moved on to a different design. But in my opinion, the V8 and V6 are of same build quality. My V8 has no problems.
