i have a 2004 4.4i.
my biggest recommendation would be to get the service history. Here are some of the items that I would see if was done:
-Valve cover gaskets
-Intermediate levers
-Spark Plugs
-Coolant hoses/expansion tank (these commonly fail around 70-100k)
and any other various things. DEFINITELY DEFINITELY DEFINITELY get a dealer to do a pre-buyers inspection--i cannot stress this enough..
Otherwise, looks like a pretty good deal, makes me sad about the residual value of my X5 as i approach 100k
