16th of November?!??!
If you have a warranty, then your position MUST be this IS a warranty claim- and the nanosecond the SA makes any noise about it being due to tires, reach over the desk and twist his pinhead from his body... OK, maybe not that, but do not let him get away with taking the car if there is ANY question it is warranty. Demand that he provide you a written rationale as to how this caused the failure- demand that the service manager or the technician explain this. And not just "bmw says" but an understandable rationale that they put IN WRITING.
(I'd not have told them you changed tires- it is like people getting a CEL light after they filled the tank, and assuming it must be 'bad gas'...you've given him some 'ammo') Parking brakes malfunction, it isnt the tires.
