Hi, guys, I have just witnessed the same problem with the p0491 & p0492. I have a 2002 3.0i and I want to know if the small hose connecting the secondary air valve to the solenoid is under the engine covers for the 3.0i or just the 4.4? I can see the hose connecting around the left side of the engine but it disappears behind the back. Does it come thru the center of the engine from the back? and I have read it looks like it has a blue strip, does this apply to 3.0i?

I hear the pump working quiet enough, and I have cleaned the valve with carburetor cleaner. I plan to check the solenoid + hose for vacuum pressure...checking if its the hose or solenoid. Is there any other advice people can give. I know the air pump and pressure hose to the valve are good. After taking off the valve, I didnt notice a gasket there which is what I see in the service manual. Is this a problem or not?

Getting back into it. please advise.
