I cleaned the contacts twice, and put in a new bulb...the prob returned.
I had my fave Asheville Indie replace the 'relay wiring': it has worked prob free
for several years since then. I watched him do it, and it looks easy, watching.
He said they do relay wiring replacements several times a week on older BMWs, fwiw.
All good tips above, and worth doing 'in order'.
