Ferric Grey 215 - 10.5 inch rim all around?
All,
I am buying a set of 9.5/10.5 215 style replica rims with Michelin winter tires for my Platinum Grey 2012 X5 sport pkg. I’m deciding between going with ferric grey to match the car color or black to match the plastic on the car and offset the grey. What do you guys think? Match the car or try and compliment it with an offset color?
The only debate now is do I get 10.5 inch rims all around and not do 9.5 in front and 10.5 in back. I am going with a 275/40/20 Michelin Apline snow tire all around.
I know the stock rim is 10 in the front so this would be wider. But it's only .5 inches wider. The upside is I'll be able to rotate all 4 tires and rims all around if they are the same versus in a staggard setup, I'm stuck unless I have the tire taken off the rim to rotate it. The rear will also only tuck .5 inches in more than stock which is 11" wide. I know it might actually look like more too since it'll be a 275 tire versus 315.
Thoughts on widths?
