The previous owner used nonOEM components on the brakes so I plan to change them once their useful to me life is up, so I wasn't concerned at all.
In terms of contamination. I just paint everything, by the time you back up 20ft into the washbay to wash the car any tracen of paint on the rotor is gone. What could the paint hurt? Can't be any worse than tar, mud, sand, road grime, wheel cleaners, brake dust, etc that all components come into contact with daily. I could be wrong though.
