Hi - I searched the forum but couldn't find an answer to this question...

I have the Thule cross (load) bars and I don't like two things about them: (1) they make a lot of wind noise, and (2), they can't "slide" to the back of the vehicle when not in use. The Thule feet prevent sliding over the roof rail connections to the body. You have to first remove the feet in order to re-position the cross bars to the back of the vehicle.

Can anyone who has the BMW base support system tell me if they are amenable to sliding along the length of the roof rails without removal?
