^I agree given that the alarm will go of when the psgr door is open., I would just have the remote handy to immediatly shut the alarm off and I would just set it up mechanically. Given how sensitive these electronics are I would be happy with just getting the mechanics right and go from there. I googles bmw part in the UK and forund several dealers that have used parts.

You need more information that I had to do a search. But, it seems they are available.
