I have a '10 E70 X5 3.0 W/ 18 in stock wheels and tires... Bridgestone Dueller RFT. Car is my wife's daily driver but doesn't get used but driving around town.
I have a decent sized screw in the back left tire, see pics

3 Questions:
1. My tire guy, said he cannot patch the tire because of where the screw is in the tire. I have zero experience with RFTs, so I do not know if he is just trying to sell me a new set of tires or not.
2. If the tire cannot be patched, then should I buy a replacement for that tire or replace all 4? I have about 30K miles on this set. They have tread left, but I don't want to buy a new set if I can get another 10K out of these, etc.
3. Which RFT should I get? Same tire guy quoted me Michelin RFT mounted balance tax etc out the door at $1,600 which seems high. I don't mind spending money for good tires. This is my wife's car which we take on some weekend trips. We are going to keep the X5 for a while and in a year or so it will be my daily driver. I live in Hot Springs Arkansas, little snow some ice, but mainly want a good quiet riding tire with the ability to get plenty of mileage out of. Also, what kind of a price is everyone paying for their choice?
Thanks for all the help,
David
