I was checking the engine bay today and noticed that a very small air intake hose (I think) had come loose. I have been trying to search for answers but had no luck (I'm easily confused ).

Below is a pic of the part in question that runs from the MAF to the engine body. It has two outputs next to each other just before it connects into the engine bay, and the one that has popped off is the 'thinner' connector.

Could someone please let me know what these 2 outputs are and how it will affect the car performance if the thinner one remains disconnected (as I can only have it repaired in 2 weeks). Is it an easy DIY job, as it seems a real mission to get to?
