It may not say "wrong region", but it wont work (which has the same result).
The drive will accept the disc and as you say if you input a Uk address it will atampt to guide you (and fail).
But for the purpose of the question, no is a better answer as anything other than the correct region disc is a waste of time and money, so IMO a non starter.
