Does anyone know if the Y-cable and the console jack use a standard USB pinout (i.e. +5v and etc)?

I'm looking at plugging a regular USB cable, male to female, and a regular 3.5mm male to female into the car's receptacles, to move the Y-cable out of the armrest, to under the headunit (this way I can see my iPhone while driving, and use software other than the built in music player - I started using DI Radio a lot recently).
