To upgrade the OS go to the dealer and spend the $9:00 for the OS upgrade disc. then proceed as follows. Check the link for further info
3 steps:
1. Remove any map disc from nav
2. Insert OS disc
3. Follow on-screen instructions

Caution:
Car battery must be in good condition
Leave key in Pos1 until update is finished
