I have a 4.4i and do mixed driving. I have been testing out the gas mileage on this thing and its better than I thought. The highway driving is straight road at a steady 80-85mph.

I am getting 27 highway and 22-24 with the mixed. this is the case every time i fill up and check again. trust me i'm not complaining but I thought it would be lower.

I know that since I don't drive it hard that there is plenty of power to move the weight efficiently. My 2.5t xc90 could not get this type of mileage because the power wasn't there and it had to work to hard to move the weight.

Also, Ive owned both the 6cyl and 8cyl grand cherokee's. The 8 got far better gas milage for the same reason.

Does this seem like normal mileage?

Other factors : i'm in the northeast, brand new tires, its black so its obviously far more awesome ha.
