Ok firstly, I need to say that ECS, (whats your name anyway?), you were correct. I dropped the ball hard core.
I called my bud who works on bimmers. Told him the situation. He said that I probably didn't realize what I unplugged, and what I plugged into which port laying on the floor. I gave it some thought, and I have to agree. I had to use one hand to push the clip, one to pull the line. Then I swapped it by feel to the new filter. At least that is what I am thinking now. So I get home, take the new filter, and this time pay attention to each line, and where I am plugging it into.
Well, the car likes it, and started first crank. Dagnamit, $%^%@@#^O($*%^. I can't believe it. Even after I tried to swap the lines around, I must have connected them back the same F$@#IN way. SHIT. Well ECS sorry for bitching about the mahle filter. It seems to be working fine. As a matter of fact, it actually looks nearly identical to the BMW one, marking and all.
Oh and by the way all, the old filter, I went to drain it, and the fuel that was coming out of there, was not a good color. Not clear like the fuel you get at the pump. I know, I just had the pleasure of using my emergency can. The fuel coming out of the old filter was dark blackish. You can clearly tell. It looked like dirty puddle water. So I don't know if its worth it doing it, but can't hurt.
