LubeGard Red. Transmission additive...

Has anyone tried this as a remedy or preventative? An old wrench, acquaintance of mine, who works on 4 to 5 transmissions a week said to give this a try. He generally doesn't believe in additives but, he says this stuff works. The claims are lowered fluid temperatures, friction reducers, seal conditioning. Will make marginal transmissions run like new and extend their life by a lot.
