1. Root cause can be one of perhaps 100 issues. To say "Software is the fix for a battery discharge issue" is....well... shortsighted.
2. Battery is usually not the PROBLEM, but is the part that fails. You can replace it, the issue goes away, until the underlying parasitic drain problem (or short driving cycles) kill the battery again.
3. Diagnose the root cause, THEN fix that issue. A "battery discharge message" is not a root cause.
