i believe only the early version of the E70 diesel are affected <2008.

took our X5 back again last week for a minor repair as they broke the engine partition seal whilst replacing the manifold, they confirmed no more engine oil leak which is a good thing.

i did consider not fixing it and sell it, but my plan is hold it off until the release of the new X5 F15. the current E70 LCI is very similar except the 8 speed gearbox and a few minor cosmetic changes such as LED taillight, DDL etc, not worth upgrading it.
