I'm going to go out on a limb and posit that those parts don't just "shear off" due to normal wear and tear.
(Otherwise we'd be hearing regularly about these needing to be replaced, etc.)
Dealer would prolly laugh and say "you hit something or something hit you, but it isn't a warranty item"
