It is hard to fathom that The Monkees sold more albums than The Beatles. Pretty incredible.

My friend went on tour with The Monkees last summer but things ended rather abruptly due to infighting between the guys. Of course it was over money. Supposedly they don't own anything to do with The Monkees. Rhino Records owns it all, including the name and inconic guitar Monkees logo.
