Well I guess I got lucky. I took it to my very experienced wrench and he said it didn't sound like a torque converter issue to him and, fortunately it was just some cam sensor issues.

A little background though. My 01 only has 56k (a bit light for a tc issue). Recently I had "lean condition" check engine lights and replaced the Mass Air Sensor. My wrench also found cam sensor codes so we did 2 of those.

When he went to check it this time there was no check engine light, but there was a cam sensor code of some type. He got 2 new Bosch cam sensors, replaced them, and everything is fine. He disclosed that the cam sensors he first used were an off brand and he thinks they were bad.

Covered it all under his warranty.
