Well after much soul searching I decided to bite the bullet and do the Cluster chrome rings , went quite well as everyone has described.The only thing I noticed was that when you put the cluster back together you have to retwist the X connectors again so they snap back in line, little bit of a pig cos even the needle nosed pliers wouldnt fit, so just sort of twisted a little flat screwdriver on them and it worked OK.
I did have one of the X posts snap as it came apart , but no issue realy.
Only thing i had which was a bit of a bugger was when I clipped the rings in the 2 little ones were nice and tight, but the big uns, not so and when I snapped the whole unit back together one of the rings fell out of the hole
so i had to open it again
then I used a few peices of double stick tape to secure them in place and then snap back togeether again, this time no prob.Looks great wish I done it years ago.
