Although minimal, spacers will put more leverage on the suspension bushings, shocks and bearings. One could maybe argue that they could ccause other items to fail, but for the most part I think you should be ok.

I'd like to add the front flares to my X5 but don't want to buy the whole kit to do it.

Anyone want to go halves on the kit and just add rear flares to their truck?
