2003 X5 4.6is... another AC issue... Help?
Hi guys, new to the forums, and new to BMWs as well, just recently picked up an '03 X5 4.6is, and the AC unit in the last few days has developed an issue...
The AC cools, and blows strong, but the air out of the vents is cool only on the driver's side, not cold, certainly not as cold as it should be when set to 60 degrees and MAX setting, and the passenger side blows hot no matter what it is set to....
Had refrigerant checked and tech said freon was fully charged...
Everything seems to be happening as it should be under the hood (fans, compressor) best as I can tell and the issue is the same whether sitting still or at highway speed.
I used to have a Chevrolet Suburban Z71 with the dual climate control, and it did this exact same thing, ended up it was the dash unit was faulty.
Thoughts? Is this likely the climate control unit itself, or a resistor, or something else?
Thanks!
