My iPod is in my trunk and I can access and change play lists from the stock head unit with the ability to use the sterring wheel controls.
I had a pre-Silverline DICE unit in my E46 that worked flawlessly. When I got my X5 I picked up the new DICE Duo thinking it would work the same. The sound is good, but I have issues every now and then where it won't accept input from the steering controls, and sometimes it just won't work unless I disconnect the cable and the reconnect it. Most of the time it works fine, but I just wanted to give you a heads up that you might want to consider another option. The DICE I have in my X5 doesn't work nearly as well as the one I had in my E46.
