I've tried both original and copied map discs and get errors on both. The reason I suspect it may be the motor and not the laser is because I also have trouble ejecting the CD. I have to turn the car on and off a few times while trying various methods of pressing and holding the button before it will finally eject.

Really appreciate the info about the lasers, I guess my next step will have to be to pull the drive and check the lable and see which one I need.
