Always makes me laugh when the E39 guys with a 2003 540 sport talk about the 'limited production' of that year. Like BMW wanted to make it extra rare or something.

Um.. der. Final year model. No manufacturer is going to make more than they need when a new one is 10 months away. Too many of them equals 'last years' model on the showroom floor right next to the new ones.

Enthusiasts want the company to be run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. All they need to do is look at the 'free' maintenance schedule to know this is a company run by accountants for badge whores.
