I received the unit back and there are now 3 new issues:
1. The screen doesn’t auto-dim when the head lights are on.
2. The dimmer menu function has no impact (always max brightness).
3. The hex pattern on the screen.

Jimmy has agreed to take the unit back and will repair it. I will respond back after I receive it back again (hopefully it won't take 1 1/2 weeks again).

Update: I did receive the system back and Jimmy repaired it the 2nd time for free to my complete satisfaction. I don't think there is a cheaper and easier way to fix this.
