it seems that you are missing a sync signal from the tuner - check for poor connection or no connections on the pins that go to TV module and the NAV - the "newly" installed harness... there is a pinout for the plugs on bimmernav . com, you can do a simple continuity test on the pins...
That is what I though at first, but after reading a post on BimmerBoard.com by JAMES, it stated that the ground portion of the antenna must be tied to the car's ground. Otherwise he gets sync problems on the display. I will give your recommendation a shot and let you know if it worked. thanks
