-Yes, if going on a E53 type 72.5 mm size wheel bore hub...

-Will have to recall the physics of rotational loads; I might have been asleep in class, for that part. I think they act like a compressible 'coaster' or 'washer', if that translates. A brief link below, not hugely informative. JCL and the other mavens
may have a better definition.
