you need to make sure the suede you buy is not 100% suede because that does not stretch, i did this on my old VW and had to find a seude hybrid fabric that has a bit of stretch to it (helps a ton in the curves)
And as far as a write up, I don't have one, but from my old VW days, I remember just unclipping the pillars and taking them off (A B and C), unbolting the seatbelts, unscrewing the sunvisors and sunroof control, grab handles, and anything else screwed or bolted above your head, and when all is loose, just gently tug the headliner off its clips and down to you (make sure you recline the seats all the way, tilt and bring it out of your trunk)
