Kudos to the Bimmer - both people in the car walked away!!!! hahaha
About 10 years ago I was at JFK airport in NYC with my wife, we went into the parking garage to get our car and go home... As we walked, there was an elderly couple at the garage, getting into their dodge stratus or something like that... They were there before us, so they were ready to leave...
the guy pulls back, there is a car passing (same scenario as in the OP post!!) the guy pulls back in... no, not really - he hits the gas and the car hits the concrete pole - BANG!!!
Me and my wife jump in our seats as we watch that - thinking that those people might need help, I started to unbuckle myself, when the guys gets in reverse and pulls out again... this time, there are no cars, the coast is clear, but he stops, throws the car in forward and.. guess ... hahaha... BANG!!! again!!! into the pole...
now I am not so sure if I want to get out the car... the guy puts his dodge in reverse, starts to pull out.. we are watching him in horror, as now i don't know if he will turn away from us or will back into us... thank God, he did not back into us - he put the car in Drive and slammed the pole AGAIN!!! three times total!!!
At this point, I just got myself into a gear and just took off - I did not want to tempt the fate and see if he eventually plows into us!!!
As we were leaving I saw him pull up to the toll booth, and he was dragging his front bumper and had serious coolant leak... I just took off as fast as could!!!
