Terrible misinformation here. It would be very bad if someone purchased this kit with the expectations set here.

First, that unit from a 2002 E53 is at best an MKIII, not an MKIV/DVD unit. This means that you will need multiple disks to travel cross country or across CD disc lines rather than a single DVD. No big deal, but worth mentioning for full disclosure. MKIV/DVD was offered for >2003 production runs and will read 'DVD" on the face.

Next, the units that you are not sure about are the Navigation antennae boosters. They are installed to boost the signal from the Navi antenna which is NOT included in ANY E53 without factory NAV. They might have a GPS antenna, but it's for BMW Assist and is separate from the navi unit.

That CD changer looks like it is from an early E38 or late E32 7 series. It is nowhere close to the unit from the E53, 1997-2003 E39, or E38's of the E53 production era. I would be VERY cautious as to whether or not it will even function with the group of hardware here.

Finally- and most importantly-, the wire harness on non-nav E53's is VERY different from those with Nav. You'll have to remove all the seats, the center console, and the most of the rear panels to install a new, ~$3-500 navigation harness. This thread from TriX5 demonstrates the full retrofit as anything BUT trival. This is a pic from that thread.

This navigation retrofit is FAR from a plug and play install and even farther still with the disparate group of parts offered from different years and different models than the E53 here.
