Other than the 'slimness' and less weight, (and the Windows based laptops mfg'ers rush to shore up profits in their laptop divisions/fight against 'the Tablets'), I don't get the urge to toss 'regular' laptops for very pricey 'Ultra books'? Less HD space usually, less RAM, smaller screen, etc.
No computer maven, but I have never had a prob toting our laptops...if I want small, I will get a tablet of some kind.
I also looked at Mac Airbooks: the one(s) I liked with comparable 'power' were $2500+. Don't care how good they are; it is ultra premium priced and I can go through 4 very good laptops for the same dough. No dis to AAPL lovers, as I love the stock, ;>)
My current Acer and Toshiba regular laptops both have i-5, 8 gigs RAM, 750 HD, etc. Both cost $400. My new desktop has i-7, 12 gig RAM, 1 T HD, 24" Dell 1080p screen, etc....that cost <$900 delivered. Don't get 'ultrabooks', unless current biz situs now have gizmo show & tell/contests, lol!
