when your aftermarket GPS was installed into the car, the installer may have changed something in the programming of the car or in some wiring - when the car was serviced at the dealership, the dealer may have reset the software of the car to it's factory default values, and/or reconnected the wires that the GPS installer may have changed, in the factory fashion, thus "killing" the GPS.

That's pretty cool, how do you look that info up? While your at it,can you look mine up, here' the last seven....LN79229.
